Comment :I met Max via the online Creatures community, and we ended up working together on a couple addons for the games. More importantly, he became a friend to me, someone I chatted with nearly every day and night via ICQ/E-mail/chat rooms/online games. He nagged me into buying EverQuest and we were near-constant adventuring companions for months. Our ways eventually parted due to a stupid (on my part) quarrel, but I always missed him regardless, and friends in-game told me later they thought he missed me too. Don't ever put off patching up a relationship; there is such a thing as too late.
Max was sometimes stubborn and temperamental, but he could also be very kind and generous. I loved his offbeat, dry sense of humor, and I deeply respected his creativity.
He was very special to me, and even though I was only privileged to have known him for a couple years, I still miss him, and still think about him from time to time.

Comment : I am not surprised Max had so many friends from the quotes etc I have seen so far. His sister Anne and I are very good friends and he was so important in her life, that I know he would have been important to me too.... if I had known him... he will always be remembered by this unknown friend, Fern

Comment :Well, it's been a long time now, but I can still hardly believe he's gone. He'd always take time to help me out, and spent ages trying to show me how to use a 3D graphics editor in chat. A few months later, I used the editor to make a thank-you graphic for him, but I sent it too late and he never saw it.
We'll never forget you, Max. I hope you know much how you meant to us.

Comment :I only talked to Max on a few occasions, but I can say that he was one of the kindest people I've met on the internet. He was always willing to help me out on a COB or what have you, and this willingness to help people must have been reflected in his everyday life as well. May this wonderful man never be forgotten.

Comment :I have fond feelings for Steerpike. I never new him but he took time to help me through the land of Albia on more than one occasion. He is not really gone as long as he lives in peoples hearts and minds.

Comment :Steerpike will always be remembered as one of the most talented and friendly people that the Creatures Community has ever had the good fortune to encounter.
He was a great guy and his ability to make others laugh is sorely missed.
Without Steerpike's help, I'd never have found a safe place to park my camel.
We miss you Max.

Comment :I am happy that someone has created this page. I sadly did not know SteerPike at all, but everything he has created gives me an image of what he is like. At one time, I was searching for 2 items, which I found 1 of them on a webpage. Now, I have found the 2nd one.
R.I.P. poor SteerPike.
